PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Kia ora Parents & Whanau,

Welcome to the new term. It is wonderful to have all the students back and to hear their chatter, all about their holiday break.

We have a busy calendar for this term. Keep an eye on the school calendar for upcoming events, which you can find on the website.

As you will be aware, we are certainly blessed not to currently have any community cases of COVID-19. While this is great news, we ask that students and their families continue to be mindful of our Alert Level 1 procedures. Please ensure that your child stays at home if they are displaying any cold, cough or respiratory illness symptoms. If your child is displaying such symptoms, please contact your GP or Healthline to establish if they require a COVID-19 swab.

Thank you for your support in keeping our school community safe.

The Principal’s Message will cover the following topics:

  • Welcome
  • Grandparents Morning
  • Knowledge-athon
  • Lion King
  • Cyber Safety Information Evening
  • Teacher only Day  – SCHOOL CLOSED

GRANDPARENTS MORNING – FRIDAY, JULY 30th

Sunday, July 25th, Pope Francis celebrated our church’s first World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

We would like to invite our children’s grandparents to join us here at school for the morning, this coming Friday, July 30th.  Grandparents are welcome to participate in school prayers, join grandchildren for morning activities in their Home Groups, followed by morning tea in the staffroom.

Grandparents are a very important part of our children’s lives and this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate them.

KNOWLEDGE-ATHON

This coming Friday we have our Knowlege-athon. Family’s received the information and sponsorship information and sponsorship sheets at the end of last term along with the Knowledge-athon questions. Thank you for supporting your child and the PTA with this event.

THE LION KING

Congratulations to Filia who was cast in the international Disney production, “The Lion King. Filia was one of several New Zealand children who were selected to have a role in the show. An amazing achievement for Filia and her family.
