Dear Parents and Whānau,

The day has finally arrived, our Colour Run will be at 1:30pm tomorrow, 16th of April.

Third time lucky?!? Dare we say that the weather is looking good!

Fundraising

Thank you to everyone for your fundraising efforts. With your support we have raised over $28,000 – which will take us well on our way to our new school sandpit that will be suitable for all age groups.

We want to take this opportunity to recognise our top fundraising classes – HG6, HG17 and HG7 !!! And also, our top two fundraisers who together raised over $1600, #1 Elisa from HG9 and #2 Matteo from HG6 – who will be sliming Mr Bridgman and Miss Luxford at the end of the event tomorrow.

About the Day

The Colour Fun Run is all about FUN! It will be a huge colourful mess and is undoubtably one of the most exciting days on our school’s calendar, with everyone’s participation the aim. This year we have added some more activities to take the fun up another level…. think an obstacle course along the way, a dance party, and much awaited sliming of Mr. Bridgman and Ms. Luxford to end our event.

Parents and whanau are encouraged to attend and cheer the kids on!

And please remember to sign your child out with their Home Group teacher before you take them home after the event.

Thank you to those parents who have volunteered already, details on where to meet will be posted to the Friends of PTA Whats App group. It is not too late to volunteer to oversee an activity or squirt the kids with colour powder on the day. Please email Karen Roncon at ptachairperson@sj.school.nz

What Should My Child Wear Tomorrow?

Please have your child wear something they are comfortable to run around in, and something you don’t mind getting dirty, as colour powder can sometimes stain. A lot of kids love that though, and choose to wear a white t-shirt. Important to note that if your child is attending Skids that day, they need to bring a change of clothes.

Prizes
Everyone participating will get a certificate, and everyone who has raised at least $10 will receive a prize. Prizes will take about a month to arrive and will be distributed at school.

Also, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank Skids and KP Parts Engineering for their support and sponsorship of the event activities.
