PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Kia ora whanau
What an AWESOME show! The children have put in an amazing amount of effort into their four performances of “Moana Jr” this week, with outstanding results. They were truly wonderful performances which saw the joy and energy from the children with their performances.
Our thanks to all the teachers, staff and parents who were involved in supporting the children with their preparation for the show. Their talents and dedication saw a seamless enjoyable experience for the cast, choir and children.
A special note of thanks to the Show Team; Natasha Luxford, Anita Foster, Sophie Fleming, Michelle McEwan, Nellie Chapman, Stephen Rae and Laura Bateman. They have put in many many hours of planning, preparing and guiding the children and teachers and bringing all the parts together that resulted in four stunning performances. Thank you!
Thank you to our parents and whanau for your amazing support. The children had an amazing experience performing on stage in front of you all. This will be a lifetime memory for them.
Congratulations to all involved in making “Moana Jr” the success it was.

MISSION MONEY
You may be wondering what organisation we are supporting with our mission donations – MissioNZ – MISSIO is the Pope’s international Mission Agency in New Zealand. One of the four branches within is the The Holy Childhood Association. One of their current projects is supporting 70 children Barangays of San Pedro, and San Isidro in Talibon, Bohol. Assisting with school supplies and weekly assistance. We ask that we keep these children and those assisting them in our prayers.
DAFFODIL DAY – GOLD COIN DONATION NEXT FRIDAY
- Children wear their school uniform and they can wear a yellow accessory
- Please can the children bring a gold coin donation for the Cancer Society
CANS FOR CHRISTMAS
We have three weeks to go in our Cans for Christmas appeal.
Thank you to the students and families who have so generously donated a can or two to the drive already. These food items will be going to support the St Vincent De Paul Society.
If you are able to get behind this cause, we would appreciate your support – we actively encourage our students to do a little extra at home to ‘earn’ their can.
MOANA
A big THANK YOU to all the amazing support of our show. We cannot put together an event like this without the help from many people!
We would like to thank all the fantastic teachers, parents and grandparents who have contributed to making this the show that it is! Thank you for your countless hours making the stage, selling tickets, doing make up, costumes, hair, creating stars and running lines. You are AMAZING!!
The Rock Factory for their sound and lighting support and Mainline Videography for the video recordings of the night shows to come in a few weeks.
We would like to thank the hard-working show team (and their families) who have been working behind the scenes to make this show a reality since the beginning of the year. Our show team was Laura Bateman, Stephen Rae, Michelle McEwan, Sophie Fleming, Nellie Chapman, Anita Foster, Natasha Luxford and David Kelly for his AWESOME stage.
Most importantly, thank you to the AMAZING children who have worked hard to learn lines, songs, dances, re-learn actions over many missed playtimes and during the holidays. You are all so talented and we couldn’t have been prouder of you if we tried!
We are so glad that you could have your moment to SHINE!
