Student Enrolment
Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic School Takapuna.
Thank you for considering our school for your child’s education.
We are a Catholic State Integrated School that caters for boys and girls in Years 0-6. We are currently accepting enrolments for children in Years 0-6.
If you would like your child to be considered for a placement at St Joseph’s Catholic School Takapuna please follow this process;

- You will need:
- Your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport
- If the child is not a New Zealand citizen, a copy of their Resident or Student Visa
- Preference of Enrolment Form (scroll down the linked page for the appropriate form) signed by a Parish Priest from the Auckland Diocese. (5.4 signed by the Vicar General) or a Non-Preference form
- An Attendance Dues form signed by both parents. Additional Attendance Dues Information.
- You will need:

- Complete the online enrolment form, and
- email the Birth Certificate or Passport, Residency documentation, Preference or Non Preference form and Attendance Dues form to enrolments@sj.school.nz Please use the subject heading: Enrolments – (insert your child’s name)
- Year 0/1 students will have their place confirmed by email and school visits will be arranged. Please bring your original Preference and Attendance Dues forms to the school visit and hand them into the office.
- Year 2-6 families: After you have completed your online enrolment form, you will be invited to make a booking on one of our school tours. The tours take place on set days and times. Please bring your original Preference and Attendance Dues forms to the tour and hand them into the office.
- On completion of the tour, parents are asked to confirm by email whether or not they wish their child to be considered for a place at St Joseph’s
- You will then receive an email confirming your child’s placement and arranging a start date
- Important Note For Everyone: Your child’s original Preference form and original Attendance Dues form must be received by the school prior to their first day of school. Your child will be unable to start at St Joseph’s Takapuna until these original documents have been received.
