Student Safety

Dear Parents

For the immediate future we are putting an additional duty teacher to supervise the top field for breaks and a teacher will accompany students who walk to the Lake House Café for collection at the end of the school day. Last week a staff member spoke to a gentleman who was talking to students over the front fence. He was asked not to speak to the students and to leave the property. Yesterday a duty teacher spoke to a different gentleman who was videoing students over the front fence. He was asked to leave the property. The police have been informed of both incidents.

Teachers will be reminding their students about the need to talk to a staff member if they have any concerns about adults in or near our school grounds. Staff are very aware of the expectation to approach any adults on or near the grounds, who they do not know. They are also aware that we share the grounds with fellow parishioners, Rosmini College and Summit School. Student safety is paramount for our staff.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss this matter.
