PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Parents

It has been lovely to have all the staff return and to welcome back some of the students. It is certainly a different experience at school with the children staying a metre apart, groups staying 2 metres apart and staff not being able to gather in the staffroom. We all have to stay in our groups and not cross each other’s space. This all assists in the endeavour to have the children back safely.

Thank you to the parents who have been dropping off and picking up the children with the new system. The three drop off spots see the children being dropped off and collected in quite a speedy fashion, and most importantly, safely. Thank you parents for having masks on, keeping windows up and staying in the car

We look forward to welcoming the Monday group. Here are a few handy hints for you.

  • The gates to the drop off zone do not open till 8.30 am.
  • If you are dropping off your child before then they need to wait by the back door of the church, 1 metre from any other children.
  • Car parks by the back of the church are for staff.
  • Children do not get out of the car until the car is parked by the adult. Children in queuing cars stay in the car.
  • If you are walking your child to school, you need to walk them to the back of the church and wait there until an adult comes to collect them.
  • The afternoon is identical, but reversed, to the morning procedures.
  • Students need: school uniform, HATS, MASKS (Years 3 – 6) food and a water bottle.
  • Parents of students, not coming to school on Friday or Monday, can collect their child’s activity pack on Monday after 9:30am please.

The purpose for the return of the students is for them to reconnect with their teacher and some of their fellow students in a safe healthy environment.

We wish you all a great weekend.
