PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Kia ora whanau

We had a wonderful cultural festival yesterday that saw all our children perform an item from the country they had been learning about over Term 2. Each Monday afternoon, over the term, children learnt about a country, of their choice, with children from across the school. Preparing an item to share was part of the programme. Thank you to whanau who came to watch the children perform. It was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying the colourful entertaining dances from the nineteen countries.

Thank you to the parents who have given feedback on the biannual Health Curriculum Survey. If you have yet to do so, please be aware that the survey closes next Friday, 30th October. The link to the survey was sent through on the HERO app on Wednesday, 14th October. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

Thank you for ensuring you children have a school hat. We are delighted to see that the weather is matching the requirement. Walking hats are a joy to have in the school.

This weekend is a three day weekend. All schools in NZ are closed for the public holiday, Labour Day. Enjoy your family picnic at the beach.

Take care

CALLING ALL LITTLE SAINTS

This All Saints Day… Sunday, 1st of November, we’re inviting all our kids to come to 10:30 am Mass dressed as their favourite Saint! It can be as simple or creative as you like – a cape, a crown, a cardboard halo, a rosary, a bit of tinfoil… anything goes! Bonus points if they can tell us who they are & one cool fact about their Saint. Let’s fill St Joseph’s with a “Parade of Holy Heroes”! See you there!
