60’s UP GROUP ENJOY PERFORMANCES BY STUDENT GROUPS

Thursday morning saw the Liturgical Dance group and the school choir performing to the St Joseph’s parish 60’s Up Group. The Liturgical Dance group performed “I’m So Blessed” and the “Irish Blessing” song. The Choir performed “Cover Me In Sunshine” and “Count On Me”. We noticed that as we danced and sang, the audience had lots of growing smiles. We felt that we were filling peoples hearts with aroha and joy as we know that sometimes older people can be a little lonely. While we were dancing and singing we felt as though the Holy Spirit was filling both the 60sUp Group and us with joy.

UPCOMING DENTAL VAN VISIT

The Dental van will be visiting the school over a 3-week period 28 October to 14 November.

The van is aiming to see the furthest back overdue children and those also deemed high needs and may not be able to see all children whose parents have requested an appointment on the van.

We will be working off a priority list and will try our best to accommodate requests only where possible, so we can make sure our time in the school is utilised to see the most overdue children as efficiently as possible. We will usually contact parents of children planned to be seen on the dental van prior to the visit.

If your child requires dental treatment in the interim, please contact Glenfield Dental clinic on 444 6160 or if it is for emergency treatment ring 0800 825 583.
