TAKAPUNA
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Parents
It was lovely to see so many parents supporting the children at our school cross country on Tuesday. The sun was shining and the children all participated with great enthusiasm. Congratulations to all the children for giving it a go. Congratulations to those who participated in the competitive races and those who got a placing. A special thanks must go to the year 6 children who volunteered to support the younger children in their cross country run.
Next week we have Daffodil Day on Friday 28 August. Daffodil Day is run by the Cancer Society annually to raise awareness of cancer and all the support services they provide. The funds raised allow the Cancer Society to support the many sufferers and their families. Children are welcome to wear yellow accessories and bring along a gold coin. The children do need to wear their full school uniform.

TERM 4 TOUCH RUGBY REGISTRATIONS
Touch Rugby Registrations Open for Term 4!
We are excited to invite all students from Years 0 to 6 to sign up for Term 4 Touch Rugby!
- Season Dates: Thursdays, 22 October – 10 December
- Cost: $45 per player
- Footwear: Moulded sprig boots (rugby, football, or touch) — no metal sprigs allowed.
- Registration Deadline: Tuesday, 1 September
Important Note on Registration Deadlines: To ensure fairness and a smooth start to the season, registrations will strictly close on 1 September. Teams will be finalised after this date and capped at 10 players per team.
Late registrations create significant administrative challenges and team imbalances. Most importantly, players who attempt to register after the cutoff date risk missing out on playing entirely once the team lists are set. Please complete your registration to guarantee your child a spot on the field!

BREAKFAST SEMINAR WITH THREEFOLD

Free breakfast, useful insights, and a boost for our fundraising, all before the school bell rings.
Join Threefold on Tuesday 25 August, from 8.00am to 8.45am in the school staff room, for a free session on what’s really happening with mortgage rates and KiwiSaver. No sales pitch, just practical insights over a yummy breakfast.
The school will open early from 8am, so you can drop the kids off and head straight in.
Here’s the best part for us: this is the start of an ongoing partnership between Threefold and our PTFA. You’ll get great financial advice with no pressure to sign-up.
However, if anyone does choose to become a Threefold client and nominates our school, Threefold will pay a referral fee directly to our PTFA to help our fundraising efforts, all at no cost to you.
Spaces are limited. Please RSVP by Thursday 20, August (so Threefold can work out catering numbers) by clicking here or by emailing bridget@threefold.co.nz
